There are two or more urban rail transit lines in 21 cities, accounting for 70% of the total number of cities in operation. In 2016, China's urban rail transit industry has presented an excellent report card with more operating lines, continuous growth of passenger flow, diversified systems and systems, and network operating lines.

By the end of 2016, a total of 30 cities in mainland China (4 new cities including fuzhou, dongguan, nanning and hefei) had opened urban rail transit operations, with 133 lines in operation, with a total length of 4152.8 kilometers. Meanwhile, the national average travel speed of urban rail transit is 35.35 km/h, which is 2-3 times of other public transportation modes.

The construction of

By the end of 2016, there were 48 cities in mainland China (some projects approved by local governments were not included in the statistics) with a total construction scale of 5,636.5 kilometers, up 26.7% year on year. Among them, 23 cities are building over 100 kilometers of lines, and chengdu, wuhan, guangzhou, Qingdao and Beijing are all building over 300 kilometers of lines.

According to incomplete statistics, by the end of 2016, the cumulative investment in the feasibility study and approval of lines under construction in mainland China reached 3.49954 trillion yuan. The initial approved investment totaled 2,845.86 billion yuan. In 2016, the total investment reached 384.7 billion yuan, a new record high.

Planning.

By the end of 2016, according to incomplete statistics, China has gained in compliance with the approved the construction of urban rail transit project of city 58 (including local approval of huaian, nanping, zhuhai, honghe, wenshan, Seoul, huangguoshu, sanya, Yellowstone, quanzhou, taizhou, Germany to ha, tianshui, bijie 14 cities), planning a total size of 7305.3 km. Among them, 50 cities approved the planning of more than 2 lines, line network size of more than 100 km in 28 cities.

According to incomplete statistics, 58 cities have approved a total investment of 3,701.84 billion yuan in planned railway lines, of which 14 have plans to invest more than 100 billion yuan.
