Among them, 23 cities are building over 100 kilometers of lines, and chengdu, wuhan, guangzhou, Qingdao and Beijing are all building over 300 kilometers of lines.

According to incomplete statistics, by the end of 2016, the cumulative investment in the feasibility study and approval of lines under construction in mainland China reached 3.49954 trillion yuan. The initial approved investment totaled 2,845.86 billion yuan. In 2016, the total investment reached 384.7 billion yuan, a new record high.
